“I participated in an Ambassador program on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Kohl’s. I received Kohl’s gift cards and sample pieces to facilitate my posts and as a thank you for participating.”
As you may have heard, pink is like the IT color for spring 2014. If you’re not wearing pink, you might as well be wearing a potato sack. Recently, I had the chance to head over to Kohl’s to see what they had in the way of pink clothing and accessories for spring.
Here’s how I would wear pink for a casual day, running errands around town or going out shopping. Maybe to the Farmer’s Market or such.
Apt 9 Knit dolman sleeve top. At first, I wasn’t sure about this, but after trying it on, I really fell in love. Flattering, comfy, and really soft.
Boyfriend style cuffed jeans – These pants are seriously the best. So comfortable, like your favorite pair of jeans. They fit and flatter in all the right places to make you look feminine. And the rolled up cuff to become capri length is super cute. As a bonus, if you have super short legs like me, you can unroll them and they are the perfect length for pants.
J.Lo Pink Lace Espadrilles – I didn’t see these at my local Kohl’s, but if I had, they would be mine. I love crazy, fun shoes, though. It’s a problem.
SO Dotted Sunglasses – I have a serious thing for sunglasses. Perhaps it’s because my eyes are so sensitive, but I never leave home without them. Having a sunglasses wardrobe is important. And these are so retro. I just love them.
Relic Erica Striped Mini Cross body Bag – It just called my name. And then jumped into my arms and came home with me. I mean, I don’t always want to carry around all my junk with me. Do you?
Of course, I want to look good at work, too. We have a dress code at work, and can’t wear jeans or athletic shoes, and almost never open shoes like sandals. It can make finding work appropriate outfits a little difficult, at times.
For a work outfit, I picked up
Croft & Barrow Essential Twill Capris in Black – A perfectly classic black capri pant. Super comfortable, I think I’m going to have to invest in a couple of pairs in other colors.
Croft & Barrow Printed Slubbed Cardigan – Flowery, but with bright, vivid colors. This is a great layering piece for the office, yet looks super cute with a skirt or the boyfriend jeans from above.
Sonoma Life + Style Everyday Tee – A perfect layering tee for under the cardigan. I actually picked this up in several colors.
Sonoma Life + Style Ballet Flats – Cute for kicking around on the weekend, yet totally office appropriate.
Are you jumping on the pink bandwagon? How are you wearing pink this season?
