Pet Sitting
If you love animals, and are trustworthy, maybe pet sitting is the perfect side gig for you. People pay to have their pets taken care of, usually in their own homes. Sometimes it’s for people that are going on vacation, or away for the weekend. Other times it’s people that work log hours and want their fur babies to have some extra attention during the day. Generally, you go over and love on the animals, walk them, play with them, and feed and water them. And you get paid! How fun is that?!?! As an added bonus, you can get your fill of puppy snuggles.
Starting a business
E-Commerce is one of the biggest game changers of the 21st century. Now everyone can have a business from the comfort of their own home, their tiny town, or working out of their garage. Hey, Amazon got its start in a garage and look at ‘em now. You can sell any types of items that your heart desires, too. If you’re a beauty addict, try starting a site that sells makeup. You could either drop-ship items that other brands make, and just process the orders. Or you could stock items that you know will sell. Or maybe, just maybe, even start your own line. I’m sure you’ve attended a wine and paint party. Well, there’s something even bigger on the horizon – craft parties. Instead of painting a canvas, people are making a piece of jewelry or a weathered sign at these parties. Some are even doing flower arranging or making succulent gardens. If you’re creative at all, and have the patience to teach others, this is a great way to make some extra money. Or at least support your own habit.
Watching kids
This is kind of like pet sitting. Take that how you will, wink wink. A great money-making opportunity, especially if you have small kids, is to watch your child’s friends when their parents have a date night. Whether they’re headed out for a work party, a holiday party, or just a regular ol’ date night, it can be difficult to find a good sitter. Ave them drop the kids off at your house, and make it like a slumber party. Do crafts, make snacks, watch some TV or play board games. It’s like a party at your house, mom & dad can stay out late, and everyone has a good time.
