Living a dream life and earning big bucks is something all of us envision, men or women. Money brings with it both freedom and independence. But to have a positive relationship with money, you need to change your way of thinking.
Here are a few easy but important ways you can invite more wealth in your life.
Being rich is a state of mind
There’s an old adage – What you think about you bring about! When you mention becoming rich, everyone thinks of winning the lottery and going crazy overnight. It’s a fantasy that transcends generations and socioeconomic levels.
But not everyone knows what getting rich really means, or what all it takes. For most people, being rich means the ability to live without ever having to worry about money, do what you desire, and be content with life. It’s like hitting the jackpot and becoming a millionaire overnight.
Be a Money Magnet
Most people hold negative beliefs about money without even realizing it. That doesn’t help you have a positive relationship with money. According to laws of attraction, if you keep focusing on lack of money all day then you end up manifesting just that.
Get the ‘money doesn’t grow on trees’, ‘being filthy rich’, ‘just a piece of paper’, ‘need money only to survive’, phrases out of your mind and your life for good. Replace them with ones like ‘abundance comes to me’, ‘I am a money magnet’,and similar mantras. Not to get too “woowoo” or spiritual, but these types of negative beliefs burn holes in your pots of prosperity.
Remember the minute you settle for something less than what you deserve, you get less than you deserve. Love your bills and the payments you make, because your ability to pay them indicates you have the money to pay. Use positive affirmations to become a money magnet, and create a positive relationship with money.
I confess, I was skeptical of this. I started manifesting money, and it would appear. Now, it’s not like someone just knocks on your door with a million extra dollars, but large orders would come in through my e-commerce site. People would contact me for new freelance gigs. It really does work.
Be the best version of yourself
To become rich, you may need to bring about some important changes in your life. For instance, if you’re self-employed then be the best in your field and invest in your business. Work on it, learn and train, practice, evaluate, and fine-tune your skills. Successful people invest their time and energy, not to mention money, in improving themselves. It’s perhaps one of the best investments you can make.
To begin with, identify your skills and pick the ones you want to nurture. Take a page out of the lives of world’s 5 billionaires and use them define your benchmarks. Track your progress in your quest to become the best!
For example, if you are a writer, you’d track 5 successful writers from the NY Times Bestseller list in your genre. Learn more about them, read their work and then work on improving your own writing using some of their success models. This isn’t copying, but rather gleaning what works, and getting rid of bad habits, or those things that aren’t working for you.
Of course be practical too!
To create a positive relationship with money requires work, and patience as well. If you work wisely, cut down on unnecessary expenses, and bring about a healthy change in your lifestyle, your chances of becoming rich increase. To begin with, invest wisely. Don’t let your money sit idle in the bank. Seek expert advice on making the most of your savings.
You’ll also want to cut back on spending money on unnecessary luxuries. These items are not just wasteful, but also prevent you from saving wisely. Now, that’s not to say you can’t buy anything ever. Just consider whether you really need an item, or you’re making a purchase based on emotions.
There’s nothing wrong with splurging on a vacation, or buying a luxury handbag once in a while. The problem starts when you’re constantly in “treat yo’self” mode. That won’t help you become rich, and it doesn’t help build a positive relationship with money.
Practice Gratitude
Gratitude is one of the most powerful forces in the Universe. Your gratitude for having money in your life will not only change your vibrations for the better, but can also transform feelings of lacking into those of abundance. When you start being grateful for all that you have, you begin attracting more of the good things in your life!
