Personally, I think it has a lot to do with the playful use of color and unexpected design elements. Plus, Kate Spade’s liberal use of metallics and glitter just happen to make my heart sing.

Handbags
1 Kate Spade New York Cedar Street Convertible Cross Body Bag (from $100) – This is a great bag for a night out on the town. It hold the essentials, and not a whole lot more. But, it’s not bulky either, and stays out of the way. Available in 12 colors.
2 Wellesley Hanna Leather Handbag (from $92) – If you prefer a smaller purse, this one is a great size. Personally, I don’t like a bag that’s big enough for everything I own, and the Wellesley is just about perfect. Available in 8 colors,
3 Cobble Hill Teagan (from $111) – This bag has a very modern trapezoidal shape that may not be for everyone. For the woman that can carry it off, it’s a great deal. Leather bag is a great size for carrying day to day. Not too big, but big enough for those things you’ll need.
4 Fairmount Square Large Monday ($90) – The Kate Spade New York Monday bag has an envelope flap closure, that’s quite a bold detail. Paired with the signature stripes, this purse is for the person that wants to make a statement. A good size, especially for those that commute.
5 Cedar Street Straw Maise ($195) – This is a classic, iconic bag that will last for years with proper care. Raffia paired with leather is always in style, and the bag has protective hardware feet. That means if you happen to set the bag down in something wet, it won’t get all over. Totally worth the splurge. In white or black.
Shoes and Accessories
1 Kate Spade New York Sage Pump ($135) – I adore a fun shoe, and these really fit the bill. An otherwise conservative peep toe pump is covered with cork and silver glitter. Say what?!?! I would wear these ALL THE TIME. From a distance, though, they look like a nude pump. So fun!
2 Kate Spade New York Metallic Snood ($60) – Fall is here, and you’ll want to keep warm. This infinity scarf is shot with metallic threads for just that little bit of sparkle. It’s a totally timeless and classic piece with just a little sumtin sumtin. Available in beige or navy.
3 Willa Ballet Flat (From $110) – Animal print is so in for Fall and Winter, and you can never go wrong with a good flat shoe. The Willa shoe in smoke black leopard is a total winner. These are also available in a gold glitter/cork combo and a really great floral print (pictured).
4 Modern Heritage Stripe Muffler ($48) – Stripes are one of the signature Kate Spade New York designs. This striped scarf will carry you from season to season, and won’t go out of style. It’s a great length, and not too wide where it’s uncomfortable. 100% wool, too.
5 Karolina Pump ($123) – These look just like a classic, unassuming shoe, and then SURPRISE!! A shot of glitter at the heel bumps these up a notch. Perfect for a night out, or even a wedding. So pretty.
