I have a thing for sheep. I’m not exactly sure when, or how, the obsession started, although I’m pretty sure it’s connected to my love of yarn. These adorable sheep cupcakes are easy to make, and take almost no time at all. Better yet, they’re practically foolproof and the kids can help.

How to Make Sheep Cupcakes
How to Make Really Cute Sheep Cupcakes
Ingredients
- Boxed cake mix + those ingredients.
- Vanilla frosting
- Mini marshmallows
- Reese’s Peanut Butter Eggs. You want the foil wrapped ones, not the big ones.
Instructions
- Bake your cupcakes as per the box directions and allow to cool.
- Frost the cooled cupcakes with a medium layer of frosting.
- Unwrap a Reese’s peanut butter egg, and place on the cupcake for the sheep’s head. You’ll want this to be at a bit of an angle, and pointing slightly downwards near the edge.
- Cut a marshmallow in half, diagonally. Using frosting as glue, place the pointed sides down on the side of the Reese’s egg. This will make a set of ears.
- Now, cover the rest of the cupcake with mini marshmallows. You can do this randomly, or you can do it in rows. I prefer to start with rows, and then fill in empty spots with extra marshmallows.
- Voila! You now have a really adorable sheep cupcake, and no one will believe how easy it was.

See how easy that is? This is a great project to do with kids, too. I’d say that ages 8 + up can do this with a little supervision, and the younger kids might need some help.
