How to Make Stuffed Waffles
Bring your breakfast sandwich to a new level of deliciousness with these Ham, Egg, and Cheese Stuffed Waffles. They are easier to make than you think and all you really need is a good waffle iron and 4 simple ingredients.
You will notice that I did not put specific amounts for the eggs, ham slices, and cheese – you are free to use as much or as little of each ingredient with the biscuits as you prefer. You do want to make sure that any ingredients you are going to add to the stuffing portion are already cooked because they will only get warmed through in the waffle iron.
Ingredients:
- 1 Can Jumbo Sized Biscuits
- Shredded Cheese
- Scrambled Eggs
- Sliced Ham
Instructions:
- Preheat the waffle iron. Spray it with non-stick cooking spray, unless your iron is already non-stick.
- Slightly flatten a biscuit and place it in the middle of the waffle iron.
- Top with your desired amount of scrambled eggs, ham slices, and shredded cheese.
- Place another flattened biscuit on top and the close the waffle iron.
- Cook for about 1 minute, 30 seconds or until the biscuits are fully cooked and golden.
- Repeat process with the remaining biscuits.
Substitution Suggestions for Stuffed Waffles:
- If ham isn’t your thing, you can also use bacon, or crumbled sausage.
- Get some veggies in your morning meal and cook in some spinach, onions or peppers with your eggs.
- Skip the eggs, and top your waffles with a little powdered sugar and serve some raspberry jam on the side for a Monte Cristo inspired breakfast.
- If you don’t have canned biscuits, you can easily substitute crescent rolls
