There are a few things that you’ll want to get before you start. One is a good quality blender. You’ll also want some raspberry syrup, as that’s the main component for the flavor. We like this syrup, which also comes in a sugar free version.

What is a Frappuccino?
A Frappuccino in its simplest form is a blended ice drink. It can have a coffee or a cream base (typically milk) that is blended with ice and other ingredients like syrups, and then topped with whipped cream. It is a combo of the ‘frappe’ (a thick milkshake) and ‘cappuccino’ (espresso shot & milk). In simple terms, it was created as a milkshake with a shot of coffee in it. But has since evolved into many other forms and variations.
Does the Cotton Candy Frappuccino have Coffee in It?
It sure does not! That’s one of the things that makes this recipe great for kids, you don’t have to worry about any coffee or caffeine boosts.
Do I Need a Fancy Coffee Shop Blender to Make this at Home?
You do not need a high end, fancy coffee shop blender that costs as much as a car payment. You can realistically make it in any blender you have. Just know that depending on the power of your blender, the ice may not pulverize completely, so you may still have little ice pieces mixed in versus a traditional milkshake consistency. If you do want more of that frappuccino texture, or you’ll be making a lot of these, look into a better blender.
