So, as you may or may not know, I’ve been re-doing my office. Or rather, I’ve been making myself an office. After working at either the dining room table or a table in the living room for the past 3 or so years, I decided it was time, and I deserved it.
So far, so good. Well, except for one thing. The sun comes streaming in the one window starting early in the morning. Normally, I’d totally consider this a win. However, this radiant sunlight is creating glare on all the screens – tablets, computer monitor, laptop, tv, you name it. It seems that no matter how I moved things around, there was still a glare. No Bueno.
I’ve been trying to figure out how what kind of window treatments would deal with the glare. There are already mini blinds up, maybe we need curtains. Or a roman shade? Blackout curtains would probably work. But I don’t really want to lose the light that is available. It was time to see what options were out there.
The folks at Levolor must be psychic or something, as they asked me to go check out their new window covering offerings at Lowe’s. So I headed off to Lowe’s to look at window treatments. I made a detour to the garden center first. Big mistake. HUGE! My cart was half full before I even made it over to the Levolor window treatments.
As I headed down the window treatment aisle, I couldn’t help but notice all the different styles. There are some great options available from Levolor. I wanted something with some style, so I seriously pondered the Levolor bamboo blinds. These window treatments had a seriously modern flair. But next to them were these great cellular blinds. The cellular blinds were cordless, with just a push button that raised and lowered the window treatments. These even had light filtering properties.
And on the other side of the aisle? EVEN MORE DECISIONS! Wooden blinds with 1 ½ inch wide slats. 2 inch wide slats. Aluminum mini blinds. Different colors and finishes and styles. There were even Levolor window treatments that looked like Cape Cod shutters. Oh my!
How is a girl to choose? What did I end up deciding on? I guess you’ll just have to wait and see.
