I like to change my perfume up with the seasons. While I may like a heavy, musky scent or a rich, spicy scent for winter, I generally want something a lot lighter and more “fun” for summer. Luckily, there are lots of perfumes that are the perfect scents for summer. Here are a few of my choices for this year.
Guess Girl – Ripe raspberries and melon, orchids and lilies, sandalwood, and vanilla all combine to create this fabulous scent. Not too heavy, this is a fabulous scent for summer. MSRP $62 for the Eau de Toilette.
Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau So Fresh Sunshine – Similar to the Daisy Eau So Fresh, the Sunshine version is bolder and fruitier. Strawberry, apple blossom, jasmine, day lily, white oak moss, amber wood, and more combine. MSRP $72.
Valentino Valentina Acqua Floreale – Notes of bergamot and orange blossoms, tuberose, jasmine, and neroli, with a base of amber and patchouli. This is a fabulous daytime scent.
Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb – Flowerbomb is an apt name for this fab scent. It reminds of being in a garden. Scents of jasmine, rose, orchid, freesia, and patchouli. Soft and romantic. MSRP $75
DKNY Be Delicious Eau So Intense – A gorgeous fresh scent with a lot more apple than the original. Apple, cucumber, grapefruit, magnolia, tuberose, white amber, blonde woods, and more. $65.
Miss Dior – An updated take on the original scent from 1947, this is perfect for the girly, romantic modern woman. Notes of Italian mandarin, jasmine, and patchouli make up this distinct scent. $90.
Heidi Klum Surprise – A glamorous, spicy scent that blends sandalwood, rose, and spicy pink pepper. This is budget friendly at $28.
Bath & Body Works Malibu – Combining the great scents of oranges, pineapples, and coconut, this is a perfect scent for summer. Very affordable price tag of around $15 for the body spray makes it a fun choice.
