So, recently, I’ve done a lot of traveling. A LOT of traveling. One of the things I realized is that it’s seriously not convenient to take my giant laptop with me everywhere. I’ll bring it along, sure, for work and blogging. But I can’t just get it out and set up somewhere to see where I might want to go in the town I’m in, or when we’re looking for a hotel. You see, I have a 19 inch laptop. It seemed like a good idea at the time I ordered it, but it’s not so portable. We often travel with no reservations. We may have a general plan, but nothing is usually set in stone.
You can use a tablet, or your phone, to connect and look things up, but that gets cumbersome, too. How many times have you tried to click a link while mobile only to wind up somewhere else entirely? For me, that happens ALL.THE.TIME.
There’s a new breed of Intel 2 in 1 , like the Acer Aspire Switch 10.
The Acer Aspire Switch 10 2 in 1 tablet is a great addition to your travel tech arsenal. What’s so great about it, you ask? Lots of things!
Compact size – The Acer Aspire Switch 10 2 in 1 measures about 7 x 10 inches, and is an inch or so thick.
Lightweight – It’s only about 2 ½ lbs, so you can take the device anywhere you want to go, and it won’t weigh you down.
Touchscreen – The monitor has a touchscreen, so you can maneuver around, quickly and easily.
Full QWERTY Keyboard – There’s a full QWERTY keyboard, not just a touchscreen one. Type in passwords and info easily and accurately.
The Best of Both Worlds – The keyboard and the monitor detach. If you just want a tablet – done! If you need the functionality of a laptop, just snap the keyboard back on. It’s really that easy.
The Acer Aspire Switch 10 2 in 1 isn’t just a tablet with a keyboard though. Oh no. There’s a full suite of software, including Microsoft Windows 8 and the Microsoft Office Suite. This allows you to really get some work done while on the road.
When you factor in things like the scratch resistant Gorilla Glass 3 and full HD display, it keeps getting better and better.
I’ve only had the Acer Aspire Switch 10 for a short time, and I can already see how great it will be for my upcoming travel.
