I have been a fan of Keds shoes for as long as I can remember. My style has always been a mix between preppy, casual, and boho. Because of this eclectic taste, I’ve always been rocking the Keds sneakers. 
A weird thing happened when I was in 7th grade or so…Keds became really trendy, and I was ahead of the curve. How did this happen? Well, the good thing, for me at least, was that I already had a closet full of the classic kicks.

Men’s Fashion has come a long way in the past 7-10 years.  It used to be that they had basically two choices – a suit and tie or jeans and a t-shirt.  I mean, sure…there were the times that they wore a button down and a pair of slacks, but not usually as an everyday look. 

And the options for mens shoes were limiting, to say the least!  You had athletic shoes, which were fairly plain and, well, athletic looking.  You had some version of dress shoes, generally a wing-tip or something similar.  And then there was the in-between casual shoe – a loafer or a deck shoe.  Yeah.  Not always such a good look.  So, basically, the fellas had three options – look like a schlub in a t-shirt and jeans,  be all preppied out in a polo and slacks or jeans with deck shoes, or wear a suit and tie.

When I was a kid, I always wanted a pair of wooden shoes.  I thought that they would be sooo cool and unique.  I’m sure the fact that my best friend was Dutch didn’t hurt.  I can remember going over to her  house and clomping around their house in her sister’s wooden shoes. 
 
Now that I’m an adult, I can choose my own shoes.  And sometimes, I choose to wear wooden shoes, grown-up style.  These boots from Sandgrens, formerly Ugglebo, are a perfect example of one of those choices.

Give Your Dogs a Break With Dawgs Footwear

In my younger years, I did some serious damage to my foot. I’m still not sure how it happened – everyone in the family has their own theory, and it’s become quite the running gag. Oh, you’re injured? Are you at least aware of how you injured yourself? Family members are soooo cute, aren’t they?
 
Because of this, I’m kind of selective about the shoes I wear. It’s not that I don’t crave to wear flippy, flirty little ballet shoes or sky high stilettos, it’s that unless they’re really well engineered, I simply can’t.   
 
When I was contacted by Dawgs Canada to review their shoes, I was a little hesitant. Until I went and really checked out their site, that is. Once I got there, I realized that their shoes were engineered for support and ergonomic comfort. Ooohhh…I could do that! After much comparison, and polling a random assortment of people in my office that day, I chose a pair of the Z Strap Sandals in Navy/Lime.

Vos Shoes are Beachy Keen

I love shoes – especially sandals.  Once the weather warms up, I can’t wait to break out the shorts, skirts,  and slide shoes.  During the season, I generally buy a couple pairs of nice leather sandals and a nice pair of shoes or sandals for the lake.  And I wear something inexpensive to the pool! 

I was happy to find out about VOS Flips sandals.  They remind me a lot of the Flojos sandals that used to be so popular.   But with a couple of major changes – for the better! 

Vos Sandals are ecologically and socially responsible shoes.  First off, they’re completely sustainable, as they’re made with natural rubber from the rubber tree, rather than from fossil fuels.  Second. they’re completely recyclable.  But it doesn’t end there!  Vos re-invests in the communities where they harvest their rubber.  They’ve provided health care and education to these communities.  And, if that wasn’t enough, for every pair of Vos Flips sold, they donate a pair to someone in need.

Where do we even start with boots?  Cowboy boots, motorcycle boots, riding boots, booties, the list goes on and on.  Madden Girl Boots has many of the styles covered, but these are one of my favorites.  Western styling with a bit of city styling.  Cute with skirts, leggings, jeans, even cutoffs in the summer.

You can keep your shoes on the floor in your closet, but soon you run out of room.  You can get one of those plastic over the door shoe organizers, but…really?  C'mon.  No.  Your shoes deserve a fantastic place to hang out!  Some place like a wonderful shoe cabinet!  This one almost looks like a wine cabinet.  There's a style to fit every decor from huge glass cases to small stackable units. Plus, a shoe cabinet keeps shoes neat and organized.
