Discover the 133 Children Stories of Titanic Branson

The First and Only World Tribute to Titanic’s Littlest Heroes

Exhibit opens January 18, 2013 at the Titanic Branson attraction.

The RMS Titanic sailed with 2,208 people on board – 133 of them were children. These were Titanic’s littlest heroes. What they saw, heard and felt from the moment they boarded the ship has been documented and visualized for the first time anywhere by the Titanic Museum Attractions in Branson, Missouri and Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. This year-long, exclusive exhibit is a celebration of The Children of Titanic whose bravery, innocence and faith can be an inspiration to us all.

I can only imagine the anticipation, anxiety and exhilaration of these kids!

For more information, please contact the Titanic Museum attraction at 800-381-7670.

Have you heard of Small Business Saturday?  This takes place on the Saturday after Thanksgiving every year.  This year, Small Business Saturday takes place on November 24, 2012.  It’s okay if you’re not familiar with the holiday, as it has only been in existence a couple of years.

Promoted by American Express, Small Business Saturday encourages people to shop do some of their  small businesses for the holidays.  The thinking is that once they see how great these locally owned shops are, that people will start to make changes in their everyday shopping habits.

staycationposter (314 x 400) Staycation Ideas + A Visit From the Fairy Hobmother

Summer is the time of vacations.  It seems like when I was a kid, we would take one long 2-3 week vacation, then a few others that were long weekends.  In recent years, sticking around close to home has gained in popularity.  They’ve even garnered a catchy name – Staycations!

There are lots of fantastic staycation ideas that don’t necessarily mean being trapped in your four walls or
camping out in your backyard.  Although, you could, and it would be awesome!

Here are a few staycation ideas that are things I’ve always enjoyed:

Visit a Nature Center.  Most towns of any size have them.

A day in the Country – Wordless Wednesday

It was a gorgeous day, so we went decided to spend the day in the country.

A day in the Country Wordless Wednesday

First off, we ran into a train.  A really, really, really long train.

A day in the Country Wordless Wednesday

Right on the other side of the train is a little country store that I love.  Unfortunately, they were closed.  I kind of want to move it to my farm.  Nevermind the fact that a) someone already owns the store and b) I don’t have a farm.  Details, details.

We then ran into the train again.  And again.  I told you it was a really long train!

And then a second train.   This one was going the opposite direction.

A day in the Country Wordless Wednesday

There were a ton of animals out, basking in the warm autumn sun.  Unfortunately, the driver wouldn’t slow down or stop the car.  They did stop for the llamas, though.
