I love all things that are sparkly or glittery.  I’m not sure why, but glitter and sparkle just calls to me like a beacon.  When I saw a switch plate that had rows of crystals on it, I thought to myself  “Couldn’t you do that with glitter?”

You will need:

Switch plate

Stacks of bracelets, chunky bracelets, and wrap bracelets are so hot right now.  This is a gorgeous bracelet that looks a lot more difficult than it is, not to mention a lot more expensive.  Even if you don’t consider yourself crafty or creative you can do this!

My local bead store had these beads on sale one day when I went in there.  I bought several packs, and was trying to figure out what to do with them.  I think this wrap bracelet shows them off nicely.

How To Make Glass Marble Magnets

pokermagnets (400 x 400) How To Make Glass Marble Magnets

Dad is such a tough guy to shop for.  It’s so hard to find a manly craft to make for him, too.  Try these awesome glass magnets!  They’re inexpensive, useful, and they can be swapped out to any type of theme you want.

You will need:

  • Flat backed Glass Marbles – I use the large and the small ones.  Try to get the ones that don't have the iridecent coating.  You can generally get these at dollar stores.
  • Images – I like to use scrapbook paper.
  • Diamond Glaze or a similar product
  • Magnets.  You can use either the neodymium or regular disc magnets.
  • E-6000 glue

Tools

  • Hole punches that are sized the same as your glass pieces.  While these aren’t necessary, they make the job one heck of a lot easier! For the smaller glass pieces, I use a 5/8 inch round punch, while I use a 1 inch round for the larger ones.
  • Scissors
