We watch a Christmas Story on Christmas Eve. On Christmas Day, we open presents, eat breakfast, and have a big family dinner at my grandmother's house.
This year we started a new tradition that we are super excited about! We have spent this week preparing our Jesse Tree and will begin tomorrow
Holiday traditions for my family is opening 1 present on Christmas eve and then visiting with everyone!
We open one present on Christmas Eve and it is usually new pj's
We open presents from relatives and the kids open one from us on Christmas Eve after a big dinner.
When we decorate our tree we make a whole day of it and have party food (finger food and the like)
We go on a ride with hot cocoa and blankets to see all the wonderful light displays that everyone works so hard on! If you have one please know that it is truely appreciated by every child and a lot of adults too!
YES! We love Christmas lights here. In fact, we just got back from looking at them

One of our family traditions is to have our extended family get together the weekend before/after Christmas, so that each family can stay home on Christmas Day and enjoy spending time with their spouse and kids. It got to be so crazy that some of us were going to 3 homes on Christmas day and was just not enjoying the day with their families. No we take it slow and relax, and have a WONDERFUL Christmas Day with our families..
I get to spend New Year's Eve babysitting all of my nieces and nephews so that their tired parents get a night out. Usually this means lots of kiddie appetizers and games!

Christmas Eve we get together with my family for eggnog, snacks and just enjoy time together. Everyone puts something little in everyone else's stockings and we all get to check out our stockings that night.
