Recently, I had friends over.  When they saw my LightAir Ionflow 50 Signature Air Purifier system, we had a very intriguing and intellectual conversation that went something akin to this:

Them:  “What is that?” 

Me: “What?”

Them, a little louder “What is that?”

Me, rolling my eyes: “What is what?” 

When I went into the living room, I saw that they were checking out my LightAir Ionflow 50 Signature Air Purifier system.   They were also trying to figure out how to turn it on, as they thought it was a lamp.  Once I explained that it was an air filter, my friends wanted to know more.

Too often, you end up spending more than you bargained for.

Be Prepared for Disaster
 

Home ownership is expensive. You pay your mortgage, insure the property and pay taxes. On top of that, you perform routine maintenance projects that keep everything running smoothly. Unfortunately, despite your best efforts, something is going to go wrong sooner or later, and it’s usually at the worst possible time. If you volunteer to make Thanksgiving dinner for the family, your oven will suddenly go on the fritz. If you open up your home to visiting relatives, it’s a sure bet you’ll discover rotten boards beneath the toilet in the main bathroom. These experiences may be stressful, but they can represent opportunities as well.

One of the things I am always on the lookout for is a cute or handy way to bring my lunch. I don’t like the idea of single use plastic or paper items, so I tend to bring my lunch in a re-usable satchel with re-usable containers and utensils. I just received a new OOTS lunchbox – the Blue Deluxe Lunch Kit – and I thought it was really cute.
 
 I have a big confession to make. I love to go out to lunch. I love to go, in the middle of the day, and have a nice meal. I don’t particularly care for fast food, but if I could go to a restaurant, be waited on, and have a tasty hot meal at lunch, every day, I would do that. And then, after I had my lovely meal, I would drift off for a nap…

Halloween Light Show + the Fun Police

There's not much I like more than a good holiday show or display.  I’m sure you’ve seen the videos of this awesome Halloween light show that was programmed to Party Rock Anthem.  Welll…Kevin Judd, the guy that does this light display every year, has had his home owner’s association crack down on him.  

Anyone that’s ever lived anywhere with a HOA knows that some of the rules can be asinine and archaic, not to mention totally unreasonable.  

Unfortunately, there are no more of these fantastic holiday displays from the Judds.    For the time being, at least. More info here.

So, I have an issue.  While I normally wouldn’t share, as it’s kind of embarrassing, we’re all friends here, right?  Of course we are. 

I’ve developed an allergy to my deodorant.  UGH!  It’s gross and kind of nasty.  I’ll spare you all the gory details, but I needed to find an alternative.  Since they – the GP doc nor the Dermatologist – weren't sure what was causing the problem, they suggested I try something else.  However, it was recommended that I stop using my deodorants.

Stacks of bracelets, chunky bracelets, and wrap bracelets are so hot right now.  This is a gorgeous bracelet that looks a lot more difficult than it is, not to mention a lot more expensive.  Even if you don’t consider yourself crafty or creative you can do this! 

My local bead store had these beads on sale one day when I went in there.  I bought several packs, and was trying to figure out what to do with them.  I think this wrap bracelet shows them off nicely.
