steptool (424 x 424) Give Kids a Boost with Joovy StepTool @joovyoo

If only the Joovy StepTool had been around in the mid-1980s.

When I was a kid, I was always tall for my age.  Like, a foot taller than the other kids tall.  As a consequence, or possibly a bonus, I could get stuff out of the upper kitchen cabinets with no problems.  However, what I really wanted was on the even higher shelves.  That’s where the candy was!  That’s also where my mom hid stuff she wanted to keep me out of.

Well, there would be no keeping me out!  I would just pull a chair over or hop up on the counter. More than once, I can remember standing on the counter and being surprised with a scolding of “What do YOU think you’re DOING!?”

Uhhhhh…me?  I’m, um…I’m not doing anything.  What are you doing?  *Insert most dazzling and charming smile*

I’m sure that my mother, when not frustrated with me being up on the counters, would have much preferred my use of a step stool.  If only the StepTool from Joovy had been around when I was that age.

The StepTool is a great thing to have for the little ones.  There’s a great big platform covered from edge to edge with a great, no slip grip tread.  It almost looks like flat bicycle tread.  The bottom of the step tool has a different kind of non slip product that prevents it from sliding across your floor.

We lived in an old house (~late 1800s-early 1900s) that had been remodeled when I was 7 or 8.  I remember the floors in that place were so slick, you’d slide if you weren’t careful.  Even my 2nd grade self was concerned about getting injured there!  The Joovy StepTool would have been great to have then!

The StepTool also has a fantastic design, aesthetically speaking.   It’s sleek and modern, but not so modern that it’s out of place in a traditional home.  As an added bonus, it supports up to 300 lbs!  That means even a large adult can use this.  Of course, it’s only about 6 inches high, so it’s not the most effective for adults.  It's great for kids that can't quite reach the faucet to wash their hands or brush their teeth.

Where to buy:

You can get the StepTool at retailiers all over.  You can also buy it directly from Joovy

We are constantly using our beat up old step stool.  My granddaughter uses it to reach the faucet to wash her hands It slips sometimes and she has had a few falls.  This would be a great replacement.  I also like that it can hold an adult.  I am short and can't reach things on the higher shelves in my kitchen.
