If only the Joovy StepTool had been around in the mid-1980s.
When I was a kid, I was always tall for my age. Like, a foot taller than the other kids tall. As a consequence, or possibly a bonus, I could get stuff out of the upper kitchen cabinets with no problems. However, what I really wanted was on the even higher shelves. That’s where the candy was! That’s also where my mom hid stuff she wanted to keep me out of.
Well, there would be no keeping me out! I would just pull a chair over or hop up on the counter. More than once, I can remember standing on the counter and being surprised with a scolding of “What do YOU think you’re DOING!?”
Uhhhhh…me? I’m, um…I’m not doing anything. What are you doing? *Insert most dazzling and charming smile*

I’m sure that my mother, when not frustrated with me being up on the counters, would have much preferred my use of a step stool. If only the StepTool from Joovy had been around when I was that age.
The StepTool is a great thing to have for the little ones. There’s a great big platform covered from edge to edge with a great, no slip grip tread. It almost looks like flat bicycle tread. The bottom of the step tool has a different kind of non slip product that prevents it from sliding across your floor.
We lived in an old house (~late 1800s-early 1900s) that had been remodeled when I was 7 or 8. I remember the floors in that place were so slick, you’d slide if you weren’t careful. Even my 2nd grade self was concerned about getting injured there! The Joovy StepTool would have been great to have then!

The StepTool also has a fantastic design, aesthetically speaking. It’s sleek and modern, but not so modern that it’s out of place in a traditional home. As an added bonus, it supports up to 300 lbs! That means even a large adult can use this. Of course, it’s only about 6 inches high, so it’s not the most effective for adults. It's great for kids that can't quite reach the faucet to wash their hands or brush their teeth.
Where to buy:
You can get the StepTool at retailiers all over. You can also buy it directly from Joovy.
Wanna win one? Then stay tuned for the Joovy Family on The Go event kicking off July 9th!

Kids? Heck, I need this! My husband insists on putting everyday things in the top cabinets, and I can never reach them.
I think I'd have to pick up a few of these for different rooms in the house. My kids would want them for everywhere!
Now that's one sleek looking step stool. Joovy has the best looking products on the market today.
seems safer than the traditional 3 or 4 leg stools.
I love the grippy material on the top of the stool. Very safe!
Yes, I would love to use this. My boyfriend's microwave is on top of his refrigerator so I can barely touch it muchless see in it. Haha! What a great product!
Aren’t tall people horribly mean?
It's great that it supports adult weight too (up to 300 lbs), so it's really great for the whole family.
I love that it has non-slip material on both the top and the bottom! What a marvelous idea.
Love the height that this provides!
Love that the entire family can use this one! It looks so sturdy!
I love that it will even support adults and no worries about slipping
This looks like a great product. I love that it has a nice, no skid bottom that looks like bike tires. That sounds like it would be very stable. Plus, this product would mean that my son could be more independent, which I know he would love.
Love joovy and there simple kid and mom friendly designs.
Love this step stool need to get a few
Great review, I love the modern look of Joovy's step stool and that it won't slide around. It would be great for my little guy to use for washing his hands after using the potty!
This would be great for the potty!
Cute little guy! Great product too!
I could really use one of these as all the little kids love to wash their hands and brush their teeth by themselves!
This looks like a great item for the entire family!! Thanks for the picture and great review. Just by looking I can see it would be very useful!
i like that it supports so much weight so i can use it too besides my kids. not easily broken. i have cheap kid stools right now.
We are constantly using our beat up old step stool. My granddaughter uses it to reach the faucet to wash her hands It slips sometimes and she has had a few falls. This would be a great replacement. I also like that it can hold an adult. I am short and can't reach things on the higher shelves in my kitchen.
It's nice to know I can use this, too! I'm only 5'2".
I love that it's non-slip and I love that it gives them their own little stepping stool.
What an adorable little guy!! This has got to be super handy to have around. Over the years my kids have come up with some very clever and inventive ideas for reaching higher areas in our home. I would have felt much safer if they had been using a product like this one!
having a step stool really helps make the child feel a bit independent, and it's got to be safe.
i love the look of that
It looks very useful.. I’m potty training twins right now.
I definitely need to get a step stool now.
This looks like a really useful product. I know my kid would love it. He would immediately carry it throughout the house.
I'm amazed that the weight capacity is 300 lbs! When you're short sometimes even 6 inches can make the difference.
