I recently received an Influenster box from VoxBox. They put together a few different themes. The one I received was their Beauty box. It was jam-packed full of samples and full-sized products from various brands.
Sheer Cover Duo Concealer – I’ve used this before, and am actually somewhat of a fan. I tend to wear mineral makeup, and sometimes you need a little more coverage than it offers. Generally, I only use it when I’ve got a big whopper of a zit (pretty uncommon for me) or I’m having a eczema/psoriasis flare up. This is a creamy mineral-based concealer. There’s two shades on the compact, which allows you to blend them to get the right shade for your skin.
Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Body Wash – This is another product that I’ve used a lot. I love Aveeno for my dry skin. It also doesn’t cause any flare-ups with my dry skin. It’s soap-free, hypoallergenic, and great for sensitive skin.
ChapStick Lip Shield – We all know and love Chapstick, right? I mean, c’mon. The brand has become the generic name for lip balm! Well, this new Chapstick Lip Shield offers year-round protection from sun, wind, and cold. Plus, it has a SPF of 50+!
SoyJoy Bar – These are made with all natural ingredients including real fruit and whole soy. This wasn’t bad, but I’m not totally sure I’d go out of my way to get them. I’d buy one from a vending machine or a convenience store.
Sally Hansen Salon Effects – These are the nail stickers that have become so popular. I really liked the design I received, but wasn’t thrilled with the way they wore. The nail stickers were peeling off within a few hours of applying them. I may have not applied them correctly, or may nails may have had a bit of residue, I don’t know. I was disappointed, because I so wanted them to be fantastic!!
Bath and Body Works Fine Fragrance Mist – I received a huge bottle of this in the Sweet Pea scent. While I tend to favor cleaner scents, I have to admit – this one is growing on me! It’s a great scent for the beach or lake, or when it’s hot outside, as it’s not really heavy. It wears well, without a ton of re-applying. You also get an 8 oz bottle for $14! Holy mackerel!
Dr Scholl’s For Her Ball of Foot cushions – These foot pads are designed especially for the la-dies. While they fit in any shoes, they’re especially great for high heels. I put them in a pair of wedge sandals and tra-la-la’d through my day. The only complaint I had was that they made my shoes a little tighter where the insert was. Not that big of a deal, though.
